Our Mission Statement

To equip, strengthen and encourage US Veterans with the educational, emotional and spiritual resources to understand and overcome deployment related issues through personal reflective and group activities in a serene working ranch setting.

Our Mission Statement and Our Story

How we started

After hearing story after story, Tim Hadler, along with his wife, Angela, began to realize there was a rising increase in the number of soldiers who suffer from various deployment-related issues and struggle to re-integrate into civilian life.  While it was an absolute honor to meet these soldiers,  it was heart wrenching to hear their stories.  GUMI Camp, which stands for Glad You Made It,  was created with the dream of being able to help those soldiers, who have sacrificied so much, be able to heal after they are deployed.

How we help

Angela, who brings a background in nursing and is the camp Executive Director, has earned her master's degree in Human Behavior to help better understand the struggles that Veterans face.  Angela and her staff at the camp strive to equip, strengthen and encourage US Veterans with the educational, emotional and spiritual resources to understand and overcome deployment related issues through personal reflective and group activities in a serene working ranch setting.

How Music Helps
Tim Hadler, who is a Nashville Singer/Songwriter, is currently traveling around the country with fiddle player, Catrina Campbell, raising awareness about the camp and doing fundraisers for projects.  A portion of the proceeds from his shows go to benefit Gumi Camp USA.
